This domain went for over $5000 on namejet recently. Now tell me, is there something special in this domain that I didn't see. It looks like a mid xxx name to me. An archive.org search reveals that in 2003 it was "site under construction" page that never came to be. In the late 90s, it was a simple blog owned by a teen.
if it was a blog in the late 90's its still a rather old domain name, so that would add value to it. I think its a nice name, would not pay 5k for it though, i wouldnt have expected it to go for more than 500.
If someone had an absolutely amazing idea that they were certain would make them large amounts of money, and yet it relied on that domain, they may pay over the odds for it. Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it!
i believe its a good price. someone wish to purchase it when they want to show there customers, that how old they are
As per me this is a great domain name and if i owned this domain name then i would have also developed it as a blog.
I don't think this domain cost so much.... but all we see the "recent sales" section on sedo where are listed domains sold for 10 thousands dollars. When I register similar domain or better - nobody wants to buy it - sometimes I think that nobody buys a domain for more than $500
