You should give vedio a catchy title So that the users can attract and then upload that vedio to various portals like youtube and many more and then try to get backlinks for other vedio sites.then use the keywords in URLs

Provide transcripts of your video so that it can be index and rank well in the search engine

Add meta tags to your vedio and you should allow users to rank to your vedio:)

I'm not really sure what this thread is getting at. I know that having video content could be a good way to spruce up a site or raise awareness of your product/service, but I don't see it as an effective SEO strategy. Youtube et al use nofollow, so any inbound links there don't do much good. Really, the most effective examples I've seen are just instances where a video was so good it prompted watchers to look up the company it was promoting. There's no good way of funneling your audience from a video.

There are a few exceptions. The company gotvmail embedded their "viral" Gary Busey videos at a self-hosted site (garybuseyonbusiness.com). If you look at the site you'll see that the url is not branded with the company but it redirects to one that is. So anyone already searching for the videos, or for Gary Busey, might go to either youtube or the self-hosted page (the latter is obviously preferable).

But this doesn't do anything for SEO...does it?
