Hello friends which is the best separator on the url.
    for example
    1. www.example.com/tags.asp?tag=hello-world
    2. www.example.com/tags.asp?tag=hello+world

shortly "-" or "+" is best for seo

    Thanks

Thanks for your quick reply, one more doubt.

    Is it better to use
    1. www. example.com/tags.asp?tag=hello+world
    2. www. example.com/tags.asp?hello+world

    did we need the "tag="

Yes it's true we never seen '+' in url so '-' is mostly preferred but + is also may helpful when people search. So if anyone wanted to try new, so use of + is not bad.

Same here, I'd go for "_" because it looks formal and better.

Hyphen is the best, you use this one example.com/tags.asp?tag=hello-world

try underscore, it is easier to read rather than hyphen.

There is a Google document in DP that states that Google recommends the Hyphen.
