Unique Article Site with Low Starting Bid

    Url: Web Design Articles

Description: Article Submission Site with features such as Quick Submit (No need to User to sign up), Nice Admin Panel for Approvals, RSS Feeds, and a variety of other features that have generated organic links.

Layout: Site is unique, strong css, template site that has been designed especially to have unique titles, descriptions, etc. Not a script but a customized product so you won't see another site like it (Unless they copied the visual aspect)

Content: The vast majority of content is submitted by the users of the site.

Age of Site: Over a Year

Traffic: It varies and has been around 1000-1200 uniques per month (Around 30-40 per day). It had close to 400 a day at one time so I am sure with a bit of attention it can easily attain that again. 80% of
refferals are coming from Yahoo right now.

Pagerank: PR3 although it has gone up every update...The hope is that with a little attention it will rocket up.

Earnings: Link Sales/Advertisements - There are currently no existing contracts. The footer links provided around $150 a month although they have all expired. The good news is you have free reign to sell all the places.

AdSense - Its an easy cut and paste to put any ads on the right hand side (Its already formatted for them to fit)

Why am I selling: This is a project which I had been working on with yfs1 over the last year (And Patrick before that). Basically although I have quite a few jobs on the table, I have come to that rough patch many webmasters do where I don't have a whole lot of income for the next 2 weeks. yfs1 was nice enough to give me full ownership of the site to sell in order to pay some outstanding bills. In order to further add value, if the auction goes over $500, I will throw in 2 hours of PHP work on the site. You can specify any reasonable features and I will add them provided it is within the 2 hours. I will be around for support and will do any fixes to basic functionality for free for the first 3 months. This will ensure you can use and
administor this site even if you are new to the game.

What you get: Unique layout, logo, database, 6 months free hosting, domain, and anything else you see when you go to the site. Site requires around a half hour a day for approvals if you are extremely quality conscience or as little as 5 minutes a day if you aren't so picky.

    Starting price: $100
    Reserve Price: No Reserve
    BIN: $850
    Payment: Paypal
Auction ends: 3 days from this post - May 18th at 8pm GMT

I will provide 6 months worth of hosting (courtesy of yfs1) so you will get cPanel passwords, etc and have full control right away. You can then take your time transfering the site to your own host, etc. I have found this to be the best way as the buyer doen't have to worry about depending on the seller to do things. They have full control from the start!

    SE Stuff
    Yahoo Backlinks: 549+
    Yahoo Pages: 891+
    MSN Pages: 49+
Coop Weight: 150+ (This has been as high as 9,000 so the potential is there if you point a few links at it)

Notice of ammendment to starting bid - Changed from $250 to $100

    Highest Bidder : jgold454 $150

They were purchased but the all the footer links have expired and can be removed...Only one link on the left side (Blazeamp) will need to stay for a few months. The link buyers will almost certainly renew their subscription with the new owners.

The adsense revenue has given a steady trickle of income during the months of January and February. I cannot give an exact figure of adsense income due to the TOS but with a bit of care and attention I'd say $50/month would be attainable through pointing a few more links at the site.

    Highest Bidder : jgold454 $150

I'm fairly certain all articles in the database are original articles. All articles in the database were user submitted and there have definitely been no scraper tools used to import articles from some of the free articles sites.

The way the site is currently setup, people do not need to register or provide personal details in order to submit their article. This was done to encourage submissions to build the site. Because of this there is no way to establish the number of unique submitters nor is their an email list.

I do have a registration system coded that could be implemented into the site where the submitter could choose between a registered and quick submit option. Seeing as how the current highest bid is below the value of the site, addition of this feature could be negotiated seperately. However, if the value is reached, we could discuss making it a condition of the sale

Highest Bidder : Jim Westergren $280
