After reading some of the posts around here, I'd really like to know... How often do you look at your log files? Are you obsessed or do they really even matter to you?

Constantly. I believe it's called sitting on them.

I schedule my cron job to update the stats once a day at midnight. This helps control my habit of checking too much... ;-)

Too often - though not logs unless I have to..
Anyway, I usually look at remote stats 3 times a day (aggregates) :)

I check them weekly. I am much more obsessive about my daily keyword tracker results. I got the habit when every day they would improve, now I am hooked even though there is more bad news than good news every day.

    It's becomming a real problem......

Maybe we should start a support group called

    StatsAnonymous

    It's avaiable: statsanonymous.com :D

Every day. My web host has the option of sending stat reports. Everyday I get an email from my web host with the previous day stats - search engine visits, top user agents, top kewords, top referring sites etc.

I like to check them several times a day. I am especially interested in finding out what new keywords were used to find my site or what new sites are linking to it.

I guess an having a shell window all the time with a tail -f access.log as the last command issued is the sign of an obsession? How about if it's for each webserver?

For stats I still like good old webalizer, knock the dust off and give it a whirl... I let a cron job update it hourly now...

I am in a habit of checking my stats once in a day usually at night. Give me a pretty good idea about important keywords, visit length and from where the visitors came from. Quite motivating sometimes :)
