    Site Factoids
    • DomainPagerank.com is an established 2-year-old Web 2.0 PageRank checker and validator
    • It also checks Alexa ranks, # backlinks, and PR/Backlink histories for 800,000 URLs dating back to May '08
    • All PR checker/validator scripts are 100% proprietary and have been tested, revised, and perfected hundreds of times (copyright will be transferred to you)

    • The site requires 30-60 minutes per day to operate
    • 80% traffic from direct-type in; 12% from search engines (verify via AWStats)
    • 400+ search results for DomainPagerank.com on DigitalPoint; I account for at most 10 of them
    • Site is ranked #3 on Google for fake pr and #4 for fake page rank checker
    • No money has been spent on marketing or SEO

All screenshots are 100% authentic and apply to revenue from THIS SITE only. We've received more domain name orders plus a $49/month advertiser subscription for the front page in the last two days.

I am selling this site because I will be returning to university next month to eventually pursue a Ph.D. in computer networking, and will have significantly less time to operate this site. Hence, I am hoping to find someone who can seize the reins and take this site to even greater heights.

Are you sure you have those revenue amounts right?

You said $300-600 per month from Clickbank, yet you haven't had any sales since April from there?

Also, wasn't this site sold 1-3 months ago?

what exactly takes 30-60 minutes per day? The site seems pretty straight forward/automated - are you getting some sort of tech support inquiry that you respond to or are you manualy doing something like contacting/promoting the site?

Responding to emails (especially customer/advertiser inquiries), getting the PR domains, coding new features, submitting articles to directories to promote the site (as I said, we have relied on free marketing methods up to this point, but that doesn't mean you'd want to put zero effort into promoting it)...that kind of thing.

I've put in at least 20-30 hours coding: first, logging all queries/results into a database so we could have full PR and backlink histories, coding the graph plotting scripts, rebuilding the validator from scratch to yield more accurate results (the old script turned out to have some issues). I have ideas for even more features that I haven't had time to implement; they will, of course, be shared with the buyer.

Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

How much work is involved in getting the PR domains? Is the profit obtained from acting as a middleman or do you buy the names and assume the risk of holding the domain name?

What is the monthly hosting cost?

Can you give us some more color on what makes this site unique versus other PR check sites on the web?

    Regards, Augster

Getting the PR domains is mostly machine labor, not man labor. You'll have to scan lots and lots of domains, but the process is almost entirely automated.

As long as you don't have any other sites that you want to host on the same server, a $4.95/month hatchling plan from Hostgator will suffice. We use almost 2 GB of bandwidth per month, which is lower than the 3 GB/month quota. This monthly hosting cost is the only expense associated with running the site.

What makes this site unique among all the other copycats on the web? First, it's relatively simple, both in terms of layout and navigation: it's profitable, but not cluttered with ads like prchecker.info. It's well-established, as proven by its high Alexa rank (~82,000) and search engine positions. It logs PR and backlink histories--and graphs them--so that webmasters will be able to see how their sites have grown over the years. So far, I don't know of any other PR checker that does this, let alone with a database of over 800,000 URLs. (It works by storing every query result into a database, so some sites will have more data points than others.) It uses ajax for efficiency: while you're looking at the PR results, the site can look up the backlink data without wasting your time.

    Hope this helps.

I've received a buyout offer of $12,500 and it's still under negotiation. You can still bid in case this falls through.
