The Best .edu Backlinks?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by Sirric, Aug 29, 2008.

Hi, I have an education/history website and wanted to get a lot of .edu backlinks. Maybe k-12, anyone have any suggestions on the fastest way to find them.

It’s tedious and slow traversing through Google’s pages trying to find them.

Or am I looking up the wrong alley?

Believe me, everybody wants to have a lot of .edu backlinks :) There are some .edu blogs with dofollow, I used them some time ago. I'll try to find urls and PM them to you. But try to concentrate on getting not only .edu backlinks.

Thanks for the tip. Are .edu's hard to come by?

Not easy. There are not so many of them and some of them with nofollow.

TLD Extension holds no SEO relevance. The reason .gov & .edu websites were said to be good to get links from is because they are intrinsically authoritative (how many .edu sites have you seen that are from a bad neighbourhood?). A PR6 link from a .com is just as effective as a PR6 link from a .edu.

getting a real .edu link is like finding a needle in a haystack...
