Hobbie for me - and one reason I did it was it was just ... fun! ;-)

for me it was a way to jump start my new SEO business - a kind of Public Relation campaign, getting my name known, getting clients etc.

 

For me the reason to enter the contest was just to have fun and also do a couple of SEO tests... and even if i place at #6 I am very satisfied with the results since I haven´t been doing SEO for more then about 6 months..
Jim was the one who gave me the tip about the contest..

 

Any theories Marcus on why the very strong double 301 redirects you got from your other site and SteveH's haven't given you a monster boost? As noted earlier, I thought this was a smart strategy - am puzzled why the big "G" hasn't been more generous to 'ya ...

 

I also thought that my strategy would work better, I think the reason simply is that my competiton is so tough...
Anyway I´m glad to be in the top 10
but to be honest I expected to place in the top 5.... Close but no cigarr

I am not seeing that here, or on any DC's at McDar, but maybe there's still time for more change.

I entered it for fun, I don't really do SEO for anyone but myself so it was just an interesting thing to do.

 

Scott's site still number one on all datacentres from here.

 

Yes now positions are reverted again to yesterday.

Not fast enough! , yep that DC shows Jim back on top, I would be surprised to see it roll out, it doesn't look ready for the public in my opinion - then again would that be just like google

It's exactly the same thing that happened to me the day the first Carcasherdotcom Seocontest prize cash went out. Just as I said it would!!! Just watch. sji2671 will end up back at #1 in all datacenters...right after Jim gets the cash!!!
