Sponsor a WP Theme?

How does this work? Never really understood it to be honest.

So what do you get if you sponsor a WP theme?

basically your paying a fee to have your link added to the footer section of a wordpress design

most new designs have the footer links encrypted and free downloads means the new blog owner should NOT remove the footer links

so if you have a theme promoted at 40+ sites and 500 downloads = 500 chances the theme will be live and is an instant backlink for you

how effective is this method? I am looking into sponsoring a few themes from my niche but am unsure how much bang il get for my buck. Has anyone got any experience in this?

 

Since it is easy, to delete the footer for wordpress...
I wouldn't do it, but yeah you can always try if it doesn't cost a lot

Get a backlink at the wordpress theme thus it will increase your link popularity
