   How the heck do you get a link in signature with anchor text...href doesn't work and url just puts in the url, i'm getting frustrated

   Go to your control panel. Hit edit signature. You use the link symbol. As I remember you enter url first hit ok or some such then enter the anchor text.
   
   Keep playing with it and you will find. If you can't get the anchor text as you desire just highlight and change second occurance of URL. That is the anchor text part.
