    I have 919 :eek::eek::eek: pages that are indexed in googles search. Is this good?


    How to check your site:

    Go to google.com

    Enter this search:
    Example search string replace with your site
    site:www.therankdirectory.com


    Let's start posting up how many we all have, so we can gauge how many is good and what is bad.

    Good and bad depends on the size of your site. If its a community site like YouTube , Twitter or myspace, You will see hundred of thousands of indexed pages in Google. If your site is small with 4-5 pages, No chances to get so many indexed pages.

    If everyone will post what you asked, nothing will come out.

    We can't say that a site is good depending upon the no of pages indexed and also you can 't classify it as bad or good...

    I agree it depends on the site in question. You can't say there is a good or a bad amount of pages. 50 indexed pages maybe great for a small company but awful for a large site.

    Yahoo have indexed my site 442,769 pages and Google have indexed just 19,000 pages. I wonder how to get more pages indexed in Google... Even though I have sitemap submitted in both Yahoo and Google.

    IT depends on the number of pages you have on your site. But the more you got, the better it is they are all indexed.

    What do you mean "Is this good?" ??
    Yes. It's always good.. The more pages index in google, the more traffic you get from search engines.

    You can use www.TrackIndexing.com to give you more details on number of indexed pages for your domain(s) and subdomain(s).

    It will shows you indexing stats for Google, Yahoo, Ask and Live.com, plus some other details like Google PageRank and Yahoo Inlinks.

    also try with 'link:' in place of 'site:' . the more the results the better will be the chances to go up in search results.

    The number of pages that are index is not important, the thing that is important is that how good your pages are indexed in google search results.

    it really doesn't matter how many pages you have indexed, it's all about quality, although sites with quality and a large number of pages typcially do well.

    Also there is option in Google webmaster tools whether we need to crawl faster or normal to get indexed. Is faster makes any good thing for site? I know it put load on server but does making the faster option makes anything good?
