I'm starting a political (USA campaign season) blog ... actually someone else is blogging I'm doing the tech end. Normally I do Joomla development, but Wordpress seems pretty easy for beginners (which the blogger is) .. I've installed WP ... now,to save time sorting, can someone point me to their favorite theme and plugin sites? Free or low cost is fine. Would like to put in adsense and have a nice red white and blue look, maybe some embedded youtube vids.

Make sure you use all in one seo pack and get your askimet key. It works great for spam reduction. I get most of my stuff from the plugin repo at WP. hope that helps, Nigel
