The forum could really be something if you have the time to put into it. what you see is what you get, will even stick around as an moderator if you so choose to ease the transmision of owners.

Just put up adsense on the site seven days ago and already made $12

Really have no clue what it's worth, so make some offers

 

General discussion forums aren't usually worth much, I'd like to make an offer but don't want to insult you. It's probably worth much more based on the work involved in developing a community, but based on what it's worth for income alone I'd probably go $400 including the vBulletin license. I'd imagine it's not gonna make $12 every 7 days.

 

not insulting at all, I'm glad you took the time to post. So far I've gotten an offer for 350 and now yours at 400. Although I know I'll probably never make back all the hours and hours I spent getting the community going, I'd like to atleast make some of it back while also knowing the forum will be in good hands. I'm about to graduate and start working and am afraid I won't have the same time to spend with the forum as I use to. Has a great group iof guys in there, and with a little more work and time, it should continue to grow steadily.

along with the website, there is an active $50 facebook ad campaign that should last for another 30 days or so

I'd expect all offers to be in by the end of this weekend and final negotiations to begin next week. Would begin sooner, but I'm going to be very busy this weekend. Would love to chat over aim for the final negotiations and other information needed for the sale/ to run Order of Men.

Also still need to research how to safely/effectively transfer over everything to keep myself and others safe. Have been scammed before on here, and don't want to be scammed again

 

I like the forum and am considering offering but I've seen posts like the second post in this thread with images that I am certain are against Adsense TOS. Which would make it hard to monetize this site.

It could also cause a member revolt if all of a sudden they had a new owner AND the new owner took that freedom away.

As long as you keep the forum pretty open, I don't think any of them would revolt, especially if I stuck around as a moderator. I think just about all the members there would understand if you explained to them why they needed to be careful what is posted on the forums as long as it's reasonable. It is a guy forum afterall, so you're going to have to expect pictures of women from time to time. I always just kept the rule to not post nude images that showed anything.
