    I don't think having high PR backlink can guarantee serp. There are other factors as well.

    PR does not have any relation with ranking. I have shown u an example in to which the site has 6 PR but not appearing for a single keyword on top rankins that is on Google in first 10 position.

    Indeed, I don’t see any relationship at all between having high search engine ranking and backlinks. It’s just an assumption that everyone thought is true. Just run some backlink checks on your competitors and you will see why.

    everyone seems to be so confused as there are 500 million parameters considered while ranking a page by google for indexing.. this what the official figure if you read in the google technical information page

    I think this only comes with experience. e.g you have one site and you are working on site for a long time. you know thier position in serp etc. Now anything you gain either low quality backlink or high quality you can notice it in the result.

    Personally i only heard this but never experience it because it shows with time.

    However experienced seo can tell this better.

    pretty true.. as you learn, you grow.. seo is all about exposure and reading.. forums are real good way to learn tricks faster.. but still you need to put in some labor to read seo articles from various recommended sources..
