I recently experienced a fraud on DP in link sale and I like to share my experience : 1st thing if you pay by paypal then think again. I purchased signature link for 6 months and link start appearing correctly iTrader was exchanged too. Then I received a PM my account was stolen and claim a paypal dispute. Very well I completed paypal dispute with in 5 minute dispute was responded by payment receiver and further was escalated to paypal claims so I can not put further facts to prove it. At DP also no action seems to be in place despite all facts are here. I invite suggestion form other members are involve in sales and purchase to make DP a safer place for this so people can not more misuse this resource. This all transaction took place with the member at DP with 2000+ post and lots of iTrader and greens. If person is genuine the he/she has to prove it here not simply saying in PM was stolen. So before you purchase and make payment next time do not try to some thing signature links until you are not 200% assured. If you purchase on any web site ask seller to prove it is their website. If you pay through paypal then you must place complete transaction details during payment send, if possibly your DP url, your DP id and url address where link suppose to appear. If ever you need to go dispute paypment at paypal, then you must put all required transaction details and proof of failure of fullfillment otherwise payment receiver will not allow you to further more information. I hope these information may help you in minimizing your risk. My purpose of this post is not point-out any one but just to let know these thing will increase possibly in future.
Well said. I heard there were quite a lot of frauds happening in DP recently. But that said, people buying links should not pay too much for it as this does minimize the risk of the other party scamming them. Sorry for your lost, hope this does not spoil your DP experience, which even though might have its up and downs, is still a great place to be.
You should really write to a mod about this. DP accoutn with lots of greens and itrader worth lot more that price for it's signature )
I want DP remain clean and nice place for Techs. I invite suggestion form other members to make this place safer. If anyone else also experienced any thing please share here. Please let me know how to approach Mod about that member id.
So far, I never met scammer yet. Its truly blessings if DP is clean from those kind of people. When im buying links, i put all the info on Excel Sheet, and I check the sites I bought links regularly and so far all my links still there..Well, if one day I caught anyone who ditch my link before the contract of duration ends, i'll surely will share with u guys about those guys.. yeah, lets make DP clean!
Normally it is projected Paypal is safest mode for payment but Paypal is not really that safe. When you sign-up with Paypal then your basic right of charge back on credit card they take away, I read this somewhere. Further all you payment fraud issues are remain at Paypal staff discretion. When fraud happen then you are not aware about but fraudster know many thing then you, so that person is more well prepared then you. Paypal has so many issues every time they can not go deep details of any issues. Fraudster know this they try to take advantage of this. Normally almost all link sales payment are asked through Paypal, that is the reason I need to put this details about paypal.

Paypal dispute final result was not in my favor, Paypal staff just said sorry. The reason was clear payment receiver did not allowed me to input some more information against my dispute. The moment I opened this dispute the payment receiver respond with in 5 minute with 2-3 replies and immediately he escalated to Paypal claim department, so that way I did not get a chance to put some more information against his replies. There is weakness in Paypal dispute system and that fellow knows very well. The weakness in Paypal system is if you open dispute the other party can escalated to claim department without giving you chance to put some more information against his or her reply. Actually it should be only dispute opening person should be allowed to escalate or escalation should not be possible as instant as 10 minutes of dispute opening. If some one knows these thing then he or she can use these in own interest. Bottom line is if you paid some one here on digitalpoint through paypal think again.
Unfortunately the Link Sales forum is full of scammers. Just dont hesitate and give those guys a negative itrader so everyone can see its a scammer. It will stop them maybe..
Eka u said very well, Just do your part by giving a screaming negative itrader. I would never buy from a member who has single dispute and is not resolved, and if the member is of high repute I will at least think twice before buying. One more thing open a thread about the DP Scammer and get the word out. negative itraders are there for a reason and should be used when necessary! We all need to do our part to help make DP a trustworthy site!
Unfortunately this all happen after iTrader exchange, so I could not leave negative iTrader. I contacted other person who did transaction with this person, they also same way scammed. They also left positive iTrader after that they found that they have been cheated.

Come ON .. look at the sig link price !? That is NOT Logical. $4 for month for 2,000+ !? Look at the Blue Link in my sig ... That's a Paid one . .I'm NOT gonna remove it until it expires. Maybe leave it for more .. So He buys again

After transaction I received a PM from the seller on 13th of Aug.2008 : Then I tried paypal dispute and found it is well cooked. It some post against this seller to save others. Now I received following PM from the seller pn 27th Aug. 2008 : The again after some time I received another PM on 27th Aug.2008 : This is the total communication I had with this person after transaction to justify taking away money. After 13th of Aug. 2008 (he asked me dispute payment) I found some one else placed negative iTrader to this person on 18th Aug. 2008. Is this enough to justify ?
Paypal is the scammist operation on the net with a close second their sister eBay. I've been using Paypal since they were called xbank or something like that or was that netbank that came from xbank.... Anyway it was way back. Their system is set up so they get to keep their money. Try to always use your credit card when you pay with Paypal, if you do, they wont jack you around like that.
