Worst URL's ever!

I just came across this website today:

and I thought I would start a contest.

What is the worst url you have come across. I have some worse ones (with like 50 dashes) that I am saving. The only rule is that it must be a real url.

I think if anything this thread will show the damage cheap domain costs have caused.

Very awkward to type on a QWERTY keyboard. Easy to remember though (for some reason ).

The double -- hyphenated ones that popped up recently are weird too. Example: http://www.a--a.com/

It's not the worst URL though but thought would like to share.

 

I have to admit though, the length of that url plays into the charm of the Kenny Rogers site. I always find it funny when someone commits so many resources to such an obscure thing.

Not to get off topic but it reminds me of www.thesandwichclub.com which is decicated purely to a game where the only goal is to smash other peoples sandwiches.

Not really in the same cateogry as those, but one of my favorites was from a company called Powergen. They wanted to show their growing presence in italy, so they registered a new domain and put up a site:

www.powergenitalia.com

It's no longer up, but the wayback machine still has it:

When I originally started the thread I meant for it to be about really long or ridiculous domains due to availability.

I think I prefer the direction its taken now though

To inform you what this url is about, Saskatchewan is a province in Canada. In Canada they like to have "garage sales". This means they like to sell thier used things like couches, refridgerators, baby strollers etc. Usually this is done in the garage so the items do not get rained on. This website is for people to buy or sell thier stuff online instead of walking from house to house looking for bargains. I guess this is the largest garage sale. Although the url is long, I do not think www.saskatchewanslargestgaragesale.com can even begin to be classified into the worst urls ever! Maybe you should find out what you are talking about before trashing a url that describes the website as this one does.

heythere, he knows what he is talking about and yfs1 is right, it's a pretty bad URL. He wasn't saying at all that something's wrong with the site. We're sure you have a perfectly fine service there and it must be very useful to the people out there.

We're just listing some strange URL's and I see no reason why you should be worried. You even got a free back link (with crap anchor text because of your bad URL).

 

bad publicity is better than none, how else would I know about your Garage Sale being in San Diego ?

Hi! This is not my site but a very useful one that I use often. I can sell alot of things on it and they sell in no time flat. I am sorry if I sounded mad but out here we think it is very descriptive and it is widely used by the people. We love this site and will continue to in the future.
