What is a quick way to boost google rankings for a specific keyword?

    There is a specific keyword that I am looking to acheive first page ranking for for my website... I have already seen quick ranking increases for this keyword but it seems to have stalled on page 4 of results.. If I can get top rankings for this keyword my profits could easily double.

    Do any of you have any suggestions that could help quickly boost my rankings for this keyword from page 4 to page 1?

    There are only around 1,000,000 results so it should be possible. Please help..

    One solid way to move on up on serp's (getting good backlings with proper anchor text) it's to offer something related to your niche and promote that contest in blogs, forums etc etc

    If the price is cool and niche related, people will link to you :)

    There's actually no quick way because it takes time to move up the ranking position. One way is to focus on getting high PR backlinks with the right anchor text and another is to create some unique content related to the keyword that you are targeting and then link back to it.

    If there are only 1m results (ie pretty uncompetitive) you need to be careful not to get 'anchor text' links too fast. If the top rating pages only have, say, 10 good links and you suddenly have 100, or sitewide links from unrelated sites etc it will look unnatural and you will get penalised.
    Slow, steady, in-content links and with plenty of variation in the anchor text is what you need.

    I tried, and the traffic come from SE gradually increase. However, it is good traffic, not like traffic from other social network, fast grow and fast go.

    write unique and keyword rich content(your target keyword) and update your sites frequently.
    write press release and submit, this is one of the best ways to get into front page...

    remember...patience is key in seo...dont overdo anything.

    Thats is not always valid.

    If you release, per example, some software. You will get more than 100 links very fast from software sites, and google seams to understand that are legit links.

    The lesson is: get much legit links to rank higher.
