http://adsense.blogspot.com/2008/08/site-maintenance-on-saturday-august-23.html Also, when Adsense is back up this afternoon, it will take several hours for the stats to get up to speed and update completely. You do not lose any revenue during maintenance.
Yet another day where Google steals our money. They don't track stats. That's a load of garbage. Every time Big Ol' Google has "maintenance" everyone earns way less. Impressions and clicks aren't even tracked. It's rather annoying because I am trying to test a new layout. Maybe Google will track clicks this time, but I like I said, when AdSense is being "fixed" no statistics are ever recorded. In final note, everything will be back up and running at around 4:00 PM Pacific time. At least, that's the way it's been every time AdSense has "maintenance." Until then, quit worrying about ad placement, write some articles, and get some back links to your site.
I agree about Adsense being back online more like 4:00pm instead of 2:00pm. It way be possible that the Adwords advertisers pull back on their ads during these scheduled maintenances, thus you see your stats lower than normal. But the last two times I have seen only a very slight dip in impressions and revenue. I still have my usual 20,000+ impressions and the usual number of clicks. So if you are correct about your findings, then you are having a serious issue that myself and countless other Adsense publishers are NOT experiencing. Remember, it takes HOURS for the stats to update after Adsense gets back online.
MODS! Please start a sticky thread and stop people from posting all of these annoying duplicate threads every time there is Adsense site maintenance!!!
Very strange, you have started this thread yourself, and now you think this is a annoying duplicate thread ? Adsense is almost always down at Saturdays, because of the maintenance work. No need to worry about.
I actually started this thread this morning way before these other threads, plus I put the link to the Adsense Blog for everyone to see the details. But not a biggie.
awww.. now we're only going to get 10 of those annoying "IS GOOGLE DOWN?!" posts/threads instead of the usual 20 ..
