Keep or drop adsense channel?

    Hi,

I looked at my adsense earnings from two channels for this month:

    Channel 1
    Pageviews: 2879
    Clicks: 134

    Channel 2
    Pageviews: 2198
    Clicks: 7

Combined, these channels have a pageview of 5077 and 141 clicks. Would it be better to remove channel two (to improve the clickthroughrate), or should I keep it?

I'd leave alone, much easier to track earnings. Just my opinion, I never combine channels.

With removing, I meant "removing the complete adsense code from all pages linked to channel 2"

In other words; does channel 2 increase or harm my earnings?

I don't understand, why do you want to remove one of the channels. They are just there for tracking purpose and does not interfere with the CTR.

I'd remove channel 2 if the ads are on the same page, channel 2 might be getting higher ppc ads than channel 1 on some pages. Plus less ads is better for customers, makes the site seem less cheesy.

    The channels itself aren't really important. What concerns me is that webpage 1 generates much more clicks compared to webpage 2. I've heard somewhere that it's bad for your revenue to combine a high-performing webpage with a low-performing webpage, since it degrades the clickthrough rate. So my question really is;

What matters the most for a high-performing webpage? A high clickthrough rate, or a high amount of pageviews?

I could remove the banner from the low-performing webpages to increase the CTR. But since it would lower the amount of pageviews, would that increase or decrease my revenue?

    thx! :)

Why you've 7 clicks? try to improve your ads colors, placement, size etc.
or remove adsense from that page.

Looks to me you better remove the second ad.
There is an unproven theory going on rounds that less number of ad units = better rate per click.
But you can always experiment and find out.
