Written to send this to both Airtel and Vodafone which have set the price of iPhone as Rs. 31000 and Rs. 36000 for 8 GB and 16 GB respectively.
These are around $800 and $900 and the same handset is for $200 in U.S.

This open letter explains why airtel and vodafone should try to change the price of the phone very soon.

I've helped you with a digg - but personally I can live without an iphone... I can even live without a phone.
Anyway I wanted to sustain your cause. Good luck.

    Yes, just checked that too...
It's actually good if there are more and more open letters being forwarded. The only problem being support. If i see more support, it would be good.

    Haha!
Why don't you import it from U.S and just pay custom duty and shipping?
It will cost u near Rs 10-11k
Cheaper and better.. But are you sure will it work in India?

Anyways.. Better buy a N96 for 25k and stop weeping for an iPhone.
    I bought an E6 MotoROKR for 10k and I ain't weeping for nothing ^_^

    Good Luck!

Edit: Don't expect a touch phone with all the sexy features to be cheaper than $500! =D

Can every Indian gadget lover who needs an iPhone just work on getting it from the U.S.? Not everyone has friends in the U.S. right?

Nokia N96 is for Rs. 36000 and not 25k..

    eBay?
    Shopping Sites?

Why don't you ask your friends too?
If your friends need it too, they might be having contacts as well.
Import a few dozen and start selling :p

    Edit:
    shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkwZiPhoneQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR40QQ_mdoZ

Check the ebay link.. Minimum Bid is $455 and Max is $800+

Well this phone is useless for India since no chance to have 3G service for atleast 1 years and you can't even forward a SMS which you can do in 1000 Rs phone. It would be good if it price between 10K to 20K.

They do not care about the price of an iphone. If you want it, they think you will pay it.

Well I would go with HTC Daimond which is cost you nearly 25000 Rs with Wi-Fi Connectivity and 3.2 M camera. It have 4GB Space and using Windows 6.1 system. It is perfect business phone.
