Submit to diretory is real good ?

I submitted about more 1000dir and approval about 20% (many directories PR>3)
But when i search link:domain I can't see backlink from directories that approval me
Why ???
And submit to directory is real good for SEO ?

 

That would take time to show if you have submitted to quality directories and if your site is listed on not so deeper pages in those dirs.

Wait for some more time and then check.

Patience... Be patient all the approved links will show but it takes time. So always be patient

Well it should update in 1 week or so to show backlinks in yahoo for your site. Google takes a lot longer and tends to only show a small fraction of your backlinks. Further more, if you only have a few backlinks (i.e. less than 20) then google most likely won't even show that you have any backlinks. If you are waiting for page rank to update that takes a long time, probably about 6 months or so.

Directory Submission is definitely good for SEO. It will help give a new site a nice traffic boost and enable it to be found in the search engines. I highly recommend submitting your site to the info.vilesilencer.com free directory list.

yeah, it's a slow process. I've submitted my website in 130 directories (pr3,pr4,pr5)

 

Well, I can tell you the reason You told you submitted your site to >3 PR directories. I assume this value of PR on the main page of the directories. You should check the exact PATH inside the directory where your site was accepted. You'll see that the PR of the place where your link was accepted is 0/10 and maybe not cached by the Google search engine. You can submit your page to 1,000,000 directories if these are without cache status, the effect will be 0 for you.

 

As Matrixsoftware said.. even if your site is approved by directories, it takes time for SEs to indexed new directory pages.

You should try to use google webmaster tools or yahoo site explorer to find your backlinks. Google's link:domainname.com doesn't show too many results.

 

I've actually found that Google indexes more backlinks than Yahoo. Of course you need to actually search for them not use the google toolbar which doesn't work. The search term you need of course is mysite.com -site mysite.com.

Having said that getting directory backlinks takes some real time to harvest and the first obstacle is actually getting added after you've been approved. For each site this can be anywhere from a few days to a few months. In many cases you won't be added. Then once you're up the link has to be indexed by the search engines and this can be anywhere from immediate to never.

I recommend doing directories and it's worth the effort but the key is do it then forget it and let it happen whenever, much like other links.
