I've got a hair loss site that I just recently made some minor adjustments to in the linking stucture and revenue has pretty much sky rocketed (per visitor). So yeah the herbal supplement industry can really make you some money but before I made the changes my conversion rates were horrible.

I guess what I am saying is that it's all about how you link to your affiliates and/or the specific traffic that you get.

How do you promote this site? I'd imagine that adwords for this niche would get pretty expensive.

 

At one point I was promoting it on Miva and it was doing horrible. I just recently started getting a few sales on minimal traffic that I get from the search engines because of the linking structure change. It's stuff I learned in the "make your content pre-sell" e-book but I never applied correctly.

I'm going to rework my "money making" niche site and start advertising it on adbrite.

 

adBrite is not bad if you find good relevant website

 

That's the problem it's hard finding a relevant hair los website to advertise on and it's also hard to convert general traffic. So I just decided to do a campaign on a topic that most people would be interested in, money.

 

The thing is that many website that are on adbrite generally get no click and if you find some, they generally cost much compared to the rest.

 

In adwords whats the best way to find out which of your keywords are performing the best? I cant even see a way to find out which keywords have had the most clicks.
Ive made $40 from $13 sending them straight to the affiliates site, i also disabled content search and left it just google search. Is this the best thing to do?

 

Well, you should do tracking so you can cut what doesn't work and keep what does.

 

But i need to use the tracking code so if im sending them straight to the affiliates page i cant do that?

Depends on the affiliate, but if you ask nicely they usually will put it on your thank you page. But it is not always 100 accurate.

Yes, tracking is one of the most important things on PPC business

 

I get quite a few clicks but still no sales. I actually found a site that had traffic and was related to my site (not hair loss) but still no sales.

 

I read a couple people earlier in here were talking about pushing your PPC traffic to a landing page so that you can make money from a customer in different ways... what else could I add to my site besides Clickbank products and AdSense ads?

 

Do a google search for products that you think you would like to promote, then search the sites that come up for an affiliate page. There is usually a link on the home page menu or on a sitemap.
Then apply to join there program.

You will be surprised at the amount of sites that have a built in affiliate program. A lot of them convert much better than the ones from commission junction or clickbank as their aren't as many promoting the product and in a lot of cases the product is superior. It's not like promoting something from clickbank where the product is usually crap and they are just after a quick buck.

One campign has been active for 3 days but has no stats in adwords and hasnt sent any traffic. Usually is within 30 mins. Adwords estimates 83 clicks/day. Its adult related does this mean they must manually approve the ad? But wouldnt it then say pending rather than active? Any ideas, thanks.
Also trying miva the ppc is so much cheaper but hopefully the conversion isnt so poor like some people have said.

I think that is one of the reason
