I have seen far too many scammers here on dp, I thought I would share this with you guys. This is a article I wrote on my blog explaining how to catch those scammers. http://www.collegebusinessmen.com/?p=187 Let me know if you have any more points we should all look out for.
Most of the posts on here seem to be from scammers, so always good to make people aware of them.. good read.
useful information the pixels part is hard for most. But who would pay nearly $100 for website name I paid under $10
just wanted to say that this was an awesome article that unlike most actually had some real beneficial information. the hints about the pixels were something i'd never thought about but is a great idea!
You have some great advise there, I didnt know about the pixel thing before. Just an added tip, if you are selling and want to help prove that your numbers are right, then make a video of you logging in and show live stats. I dont know if videos can be easily edited or not, but thats better then just a screen shot. Joel
Hey Joel, I already mentioned in my post about asking the seller to post a video of a particular account or stats rather than just a screenshot. Thanks guys, I thought this post was necessary especially seeing a huge rise of scammers on the internet.
Hmm best against scammers is just to trust the DP rank / trust. Most won't make this deal. Sending money first is okay, if the seller has good reputation!
great blog and some great advice from people especially the one about using videos instead of screenshots to prove that you are not copying numbers
That was a good read, however, your points are a bit too generic. Maybe you could use examples, the next time over.
