HI I have a blog (www.videos-trailers.com) & I need someone to do marketing of that blog. It's been around 5 months & has hundreds of posts. Most attractive feature - the website name is one of the best according to the SEO & most of the times lands up on 1st page at GOOGLE while searching for VIDEOS or TRAILERS. In return, take 50% money generated from the website. Actually I'll be busy with my personal work, so I need a permanent marketing person who can increase the website traffic. Looking for a long term relationship. If the person is good, then I have many other websites to do marketing for . Regards Ankit Mahanot
I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I don't see anybody willing to do all of the marketing work for only 50% revenue. If you had a product or service yourself than it might work as a partnership. But, because you use CPC and CPM advertising to make money with this type of site, 99% of the revenue will be BECAUSE of the traffic the marketer brings in. A marketer (a smart one, at least) could just as easily create their own website, slap on advertisements, do the marketing, and take home 100% of the revenue. Also, your domain name is not that great in terms of SEO. The 2 terms "videos" and "trailers" are insane when it comes to competition. Together, "Videos Trailers", just isn't searched enough to make it worth your time. And, if you're ending up 1st most of the time on google, than you shouldn't need the help of a marketer since search engine traffic is all that you want with a site like this. Just my 2 cents.
You are nowhere near the 1st page for either term. In fact, to rank on the 1st page for videos (1,6 billion results) and trailers (130 million results) you will need a team consisting of a marketer, SEO, content provider AND a person with the right contacts in the industry, i.e. someone who has worked with distributors, promoters, etc. But then, as John84 mentioned, this site has not enough potential as an investment. So my advice would be - grab a book on SEO and start seoing because at the moment you have optimized your site for totally ridiculous phrases "no response", "continue reading" and "2008". It just makes me wonder - is your site about "no response" or trailers? eh? Got an Adwords account? Go to the Keywords Tool and find out the right keywords, then optimize, optimize and optimize!!! Once you have done the SEO, sign up for an affiliate scheme with a company that sells DVDs - it is so obvious, mate! You haven't done the basics - seo + monetization. How about that bit of an advice? Good luck!
No worries. Good luck with the site. I have a movie trailer site right now as well and I know how difficult it is to promote. I got as high as 3rd in very dense terms in google - right under apple.com and yahoo.com. But i lost the ranking because I did some blackhat crap =(
@JOHN84 .....yes I thought it would be easy to promote an entertainment site .... but it's turning out to be otherway round ..... ..... I'll keep trying
Hey Ankit... Please contact me via e-mail... I might be interested... 50% is not an issue for me... But, I'd not be able to spend a lot of time either... However, I sure can help...
