    Hey
I want to start a rapidshare/megauplaod website that will convert the link to direct links. I want to know if this type of website is profitable?
ofcourse i will need to buy accoutns regularly, but that is only for rapidshare, megaupload i think is unlimited. but anyways, i think majority of users will be using rapidshare....so.

so other than regular rapidaccount, wut other type of expenses will there be? i think i dont need alot of space or bandwidth for the host since the links will not be stored on the server but be directly given to users, so i dont need alot of space, and bandwidth. so i think the hosting will be cheap.

so once again, share with me what you guys know about this type of buisness, and how profitable is it.....

    thanks, greatly aprreciated.

Ive seen alot of websites like this come and go. They are very costly to maintain and the return isnt a right lot from just adsense or something like that.

Like said above those websites go down as fast as they pop up. Very expensive to maintain and the money you receive back usually isn't even enough to break even. Many of the larger sites have so many ads on them they can make some money but you have to be a premium publisher to take advantage of this. I think there are so many better ways to make money on websites than this. It is also becoming a little outdated.

once your site takes off, you're going to need dedicated servers to manage it. i don't know if you can earn more than the monthly costs
