Well, David. When you started this thread we only had 7 diggs to the story. Now we are up to 22, thanks to the DP commmunity who responded to my request in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=85754&page=2

Hope many more get on board to digg this. The outside (of DP) world needs to know the truth.

Having "access to content about DMOZ" and pretending "the outside (of DP) world needs to know the truth" is one thing.
You clearly proof that both of you lack the mental capacity contributing to any discussion in a productive manner.

Some information on the ODP, worthwile reading it, might be found here.

Would you care to explain just how you come to that conclusion?

Now, you make me wonder minstrel, you should be able to realize that this is a hypocritical question.;)

That was my point and why I used the "rolleyes" emoticon:

You didn't clear anything up. I didn't understand your reply above at all, nor for that matter the comment you made before that about David Duval and PortProphecy having "proved" that they "lack[ed] the mental capacity contributing to any discussion in a productive manner".

Are you on crack? What about the first two posts of this thread seemed lacking to you? Why did you even reply to this thread? You obviously have nothing productive to add to it.

The fact that English is not my first language, usually hinders me from coming up with a more/better elaborated lengthy post a la brizzie, this was the only reason mentioning this.

You asked me to explain how I came to that conclusion. Like I said, I consider this question extremely hypocritical. It is one thing, dvduval and PortProphecy posting the cheapest bashing that can be found.
Although I appreciate(d)your contributions in most threads here on DP, you should understand that on the other hand witnessing this ongoing loss of reality on your side, when it comes to anything where the ODP is envolved, is somehow breathtaking. Therefore, I am instead missing a reasonable explanation from your side, what makes you support those ridiculous points of view.

What is ridiculous about their points of view? DMOZ in fact DID list pro-pedophilia and pro-child pornography sites in those categories, and the last time I looked there were still "questionable" (at best) sites being listed.

You are quiet good at playing with words. There were some pro-pedophilia sites, thanks to Annie they are gone. The ODP/DMOZ never supported child-porn, and you know that damn well.
May be it helps re-reading what I wrote:
"Having "access to content about DMOZ" and pretending "the outside (of DP) world needs to know the truth" is one thing."
What these guys wrote in their first 2 posts is nothing but cheap sensational crap.

Please re-read what I wrote above.

What I noted as listed in DMOZ were pro-pedophilia sites, pro-child-pornography sites, and questionable sites.

There are still some of the third category listed, or there were last time I looked. Some progress has been made there but it is not enough yet and the job is not yet finished.

Re-read the threads on what constitutes "child pornography" - not just the legal arguments that were made but arguments that were made on the grounds of social and moral rsponsibility. I really have no interest in going through those debates again in this thread.

    Same goes to you.;)

I share most of your views there, and you can bet that I am well aware of these debates.
Nevertheless, childish, stupid postings like the first 2 ones in this thread don't help at all, don't you think so?

Yes. You are right. David and I clearly were posting cheap sensational crap. Our posts were nothing short of Stalin-like propoganda meant to mislead the world about the family-oriented and wholesome organization that is DMOZ.

I don't see them as childish, stupid, or pointless. Evidently, you do. C'est la vie. I don't see a lot of merit in continuing to debate this with you.

Admitting your sin could be a good first step...:D

Should you ever overcome your biased approach to the ODP, you might be even capable contributing in a constructive way, there is always hope.:D
