Sadly, Zepped is now looking for a new owner. I'm investing in a new internet TV channel, and need to release the equity tied up in this website.

I am the original creator of this site and code, and can say that it is 100% unique and custom. It's sole purpose is to deliver movies, either via a regular embedded code, or by pointing to the FLV files locations and then showing them through our own Flash Player.

Zepped is 100% legal in USA and UK.

Income is broken down like so (Per Month):
Adsense: $4500
Adotube $6900
CPX: $308
TOTAL: $11708 (around £5854) per month

The user is responsible for opening accounts with these networks. With Adotube, they personally oversee the adserving solution, and they do a great job. A strong personal comms channel exists, and I suggest the new site owner establish this immediately as currently, Zepped runs premium and custom campaigns only. Hence the extremely high CPM (around $9)

Because of the way the site is setup, it is ideal for a team of people to manage. Currently, I handle all the management, SEO, development and general webmastery.

The video content and promotion is handled by 1 staff member, who is outsourced to India. The rates are fairly high for Indian outsourced work, because he does good work and is reliable (add/editing/promoting 6/7 days a week). I have informed him he will still have a job with this site sale, and would ask and highly reccommend the new user does. Payments are weekly (after the weeks work) and via paypal. The work done is tracked 80% through the Admin control panel.

I will provide full details on how the site is currently run.

To grow the site, I would suggest some aggressive SEO (offsite) as well as perhaps sourcing another staff member. The site currently generates a Google compliant XML sitemap automatically, and also generates a simple text/html videositemap for other webmasters to use (link sites like alluc etc).

The site has an integrated toplist for traffic trades. It is listed in some large toplists/directories and does very well from them.

Due to the shorted, pronounceable name, most of the traffic is now type in or bookmarks.

HOSTING REQUIREMENT
The site currently consumes 8mbit of b/w, however this will grow with the site. The current hosting provider (RapidVPS) has nicely agreed to provide the same deal to the new buyer as I currently use, which provides:

20mbit full duplex dedicated b/w line

The site utilities around 30% of CPU/RAM even at spikes, however it's very comfortable for growth this way and a great price. For WHM/Cpanel, it's extra on top for a license ($15 I believe).

The site has Pagerank 3 and is currently alexa ~31,000 (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/zepped.com) with a 1 week average alexa of 19,000

Ok, you forgot to mention that Google will be eliminating Google Firefox downloads end of this month so adsense income is worthless...

 

All this means is that there is a gap to fill, which is a job for the new webmaster to find a new install service, such as Zango which will bring in more than Adsense would. If the new webmaster decides against Zango or another company for this, you are still looking at a great 7k a month in revenue for not doing to much

I have figured out that Zango would be around 6k a month but refrain from them for now.

I'm pretty sure its against Google's terms and conditions to place adsense alongside copyrighted content you do not own. So its basically a no-no with any tv streaming site.

 

By the looks of your screenshots you only started getting traffic to the site since about the 10th of May. That's only 3 months ago. From 0 traffic to 30k visits/day in 3 months? How much do you spend on advertising your site each month? What is the NET profit per month your site makes?

Also if you want serious offers you need to break down your revenue: You need to show May, June, July, and Aug revenue and expenses for the site?

 

I'll provide server access for 10 days, and will help with setup but the buyer needs to do the move itself. It's a cpanel control panel so it can be moved very easily

The new owner can have this site too. Currently, only non-firefox users get the warning message about it. I advise trying to use the site in IE to better see what I'm talking about

I'll take per month screenshots for the adsense shortly. Also, the screenshot for adotube is all i can provide right now, as I only recently picked them up.

And the traffic picked up so fast because when I launched it, Zepped was the only major movie site that was regulaerly updated but didn't impose zano=go. This meant a lot of sites were banned from link submission sites, where as zepped was not

The 'advertising' is all through outsourced staff, which includes link submitting on websites, the rest is type ins and word of mouth, branding etc. from seeing it on other sites.
I did try a few banners earlier on, but they were a flop

A new logo/header/general cleanup will cost about £150. The site doesn't use any complicated SMARTY templating, and uses clean and simple CSS with no tables, so will be easy to change if they want

The script will not be sold apart from the site at this time.

 

since adotube does not allow this type of content to show their ads (as per http://www.adotube.com/terms.html) plus google retiring the referral program in a couple of weeks (which powers the firefox download ) I think that just CPX will survive, which more or less pays for the server.

yes, zango is an option, but ....... mmmm, still a little risky for a $20K site

 

So basically what you are trying to say is that the new owner would be basically make an ASTOUNDING average of whole $2 every month for Adsense ... at best 10 bucks ...

adotube goes out so does adsense how much money can ya earn without them? and do i have to advertise somewhere to keep the traffic at same point??

I've spoken directly with Adotube pretty much every other day, as we get custom and personal campaigns which are JUST for Zepped!

Yes referrals are, however I'm proving that through Zepped, you can get at least 200 installs of a piece of software per day. Depending on which program you look at, replacing that gap in the revenue will not be hard.... I'm expecting only serious webmasters who do this full time to take an interest in this auction. If you think you are unable to monetize 1.5 million pageviews to no higher than $2, then I would doubt you would be able to even make the minimum bid on this site.

The only current advertising, as said before, is through manual submission of links. This will cost the price of the outsourced staff member, who has agreed to work at the same rate for the new owner of the site. I can point you towards the webmasters of some other link submission sites who have offered previously to 'sell' extra submission privileges to their site. One even offered to customise their spider to pick up all of Zepped's movies

$1400 is 6 days, so over 30 days your talking about $6900

 

You've done a good job building your traffic in such a short time. Care to give me some pointers?

There is a potential replacement for google referral coming out that may make almost as much as firefox referral... Zango on a site with the traffic you have will prb at most make 2k/month. There are a lot of creative ways to make money on a site like this but the referral was probably the very best of all... BTW if you decide to sell the script i may be interested, I woudl heavily modify it before publishing.
