What's the most important component of SEO?

Based from your experience on SEO strategy on making a site gain a high targeted traffic, link popularity, and generates more revenue.
What do you think is the most important component of SEO that really works and makes a fast result?

Quality, relevant, one-way backlinks containing various anchor text with the majority including keywords you want to rank for beats every other SEO factor by far.

You gotta realize though that ranking a site legitimately takes time. Now, the amount of time depends on a number of different factors, such as domain age, current number of backlinks, keyword competition, etc. Don't expect to rank on the first page the first week you get 100+ new backlinks. Also, don't get down on yourself when you get some really high quality links and you don't see an immediate improvement in your SERPs; it takes time!

Now that I think about it, maybe the most important SEO factor is patience.

 

Quality original content. If you write for authority/user value, people will link to you naturally. Of course, you can speed things up through linkbuilding campaigns. However, for the long term, nothing beats high quality content.

 

For me, It's always having the right content that matter. Make a research for the targeted keyword to insert it in. Link building comes second.

Choosing the right keywords than putting then in URL, page title and H1

 

From what everyone has mentioned...It's a combination of many techniques, not Just one.

 

Quality Niche Contents, keywords and key phrases, consistency in building links. You will see you effort brings in results.

 

Quality Content is number 1 for me.. You have to remember that you are selling your products to humans, not to search engines. Therefore, do extensive Keyword research and use these keywords/key phrases in your content

 

you have to have content that fulfills or answers the search

e.g.
"News about Obama"

site that offers news about Obama will be rank higher and returned in the top 100.


Now for those sites to be ranked accordingly to their respected top numbers, links are counted from many factors. So links to your site comes in the second most important

 

You may have 100 SEO tools in hands but if the content is not qualitative what is the use of it? It is rightly said that "Content is the King".A nice blend of qualitative content woth SEO would certainly give you the best results.

Unique, interesting content, written for the reader not the search engine bots as that's what will lead to conversions when you actually have visitors on your site (which is surely the whole point of wanting to be highly visible in the first place?)
