Hostgator - The No.1 Hosting Company?

It seems to be one of the very few companies that overdeliver in exchange for little fees...

Has anyone tried Hostgator? How good are they?

 

Same question. are they really good? Heard Really good things about them. gotta shift my sites from servage.

They charge little fees compared to other companies... I think that is a plus.

What I care for is the customer service... been with quite a few not so good companies, and quality customer service is priority to me.

I have heard both good things and bad things about host gator. I had a baby account with them and when I went to cancel they gave me a little hassel. I know its there right to ask why I am cancelling and I gave them one but I guess it wasnt upto their standards.. haha
Any hosting company is only as good as their service and customer support is. I guess bottom line is read and pick on what you think is good

I've been with Host Gator for almost 2 years and never had a problem with them. I also have multiple sites on one account and it works well. Whenever I've had a problem or a question, their support team has been awesome. Like I said on another thread about this service, I think the longest I've ever had to wait on hold for a support rep to help me out is a little over 5 minutes. Not bad. When I got a hold of support they have always been very friendly and helpful. If I did understand technically what was wrong they were very good at explaining it to me and fixing it.

Sometimes with any technical support you get from any service they will fix the problem, but they won't go tell you what caused it or how to prevent it. With one instance I had with Host Gator the support guy fixed the problem and told me what probably caused. He even took the time to explain if this problem happens just do these things and that will fix it. It made easier for me and I'm sure it made easier for him because I won't have to call back again for the same problem.

The bottom line is, the service is great, the price is great and so is the support. I hope this might help.

HostGator is the best hosting company I've ever been with.

I was with FatNetwork for 3 years before, but their server was always down. I switched to HostGator last December and I've had maybe two outages that lasted no more than 10 minutes. I'm very happy with them -- especially their live chat support.

Here's your answer right there. Look for hosting company that has no complaints against and that's your best host.

 

i tried several hosting companies. Currently i have hosting of webhostingbuzz and hostgator. Webhostingbuzz is cheaper and gives you a domain but i like hostgator better. Less downtime and better servers. paid like 170$ for 2 years for the baby package which in euro's is nothing compared to what i used to pay and service is great.

p.s both are the best hosting companies i have had so far

 

Hostgator - overdeliver is a perfect word. I have about 50 domains hosted on one $15/mnth hosting account with them. Hardly ever any downtime and if there's ever a problem, support is so fast to answer. They are great.
