It's nice to see something different in search but the quality of results needs to improve.

It means in terms of how many pages it has indexed, which I still think is false because many many sites have not shown up in Cuil yet. I would give them respect and say "it's still new", but the fact is they hyped it up so much when it is clearly not ready, implying it is a new evolved form of search engine which is completely revolutionary, when infact it is shite.

I don't think it was quite ready to go public. The results are not very good for any of the searches I have tried.

This has put them off to a poor start, It probably would have been better if they waited an made sure their results were good first. When you start with a bad impression, its hard to fix that later.

    Agreed.

But they definitely are a unique search engine. Maybe with better search results they will be able to compete with top search engines*

*although, I don't believe that anyone will be able to compete with Google. You have to have brass balls and find some ground-breaking discovery to even try to.

I find the search results to be less relevant than Google. Not particularly a fan

I think it's annoying. I like my listings vertical, not spread all over the page.

I am on first page on cuil.com for the main keywords:

    blog promotion tips
    free blog promotion
    blog promotion

    and others

but I am on first page on Google for same keywords, so don't know if I should be happy:)
