I guess what irks me the most, is that these website claim they are sending you targeted traffic.. but there is no way to really check. So they are basically lying, without any consequences...

Is there a place that I can report Easyhits and Usefultraffic?

Buying traffic is not a good idea. It is against Google Tos as you use Google Ads on your sites. My suggestion is to add inks on relevant sites, or PPC

Here are my 50 cents :)

I m in to net devlopment from last 6 years & ve spend about $6000 in adv. of different sites.

The main problem when u buy traffic is getting cancellation of your adsense or yahoo account .. BEacuse as per there TOS Sites opening in pop under or having fake hits or Surfing site in Frames are not allowed.. And UNfortunately all these things are done by all traffic people , they have 2 different companies one is buying ad spots from publishers & the other is selling to adv.

So finally ALWAYS check how they drive traffic before spending even $1 with them & Ask for testimonials & while paying theu paypal add all the conversion uve both agreed in notes this will help u in refund in case of cheating.

If you pay for traffic and you receive traffic, then the site has done it's job. It all has to do with what you have chosen to do when the traffic gets to your site. If you lack sign ups, sells, etc. Ask yourself what you may be doing wrong. (p.s. Although I wouldn't consider or condone buying pop-up ads, as everyone does usually close them before they view them.)

Not entirely... What I paid for and what they delivered where not the same thing. I paid for targeted traffic from Canada or the USA, and what I received was random pop-ups from IP addresses all over the map. So sending any traffic does not mean they have done their job.

I've run campaigns on Adwords and have a few high success rate, so I know that a Zero % rate from these companies means something is not right.

Easyhits just refunded my money after 2 weeks of fighting me for it... they only did after I proved them to be less than honest on their service and reported them to Paypal.

They refunded my money added a nice little note that they are reporting my URL to the Internet Fraud Database... whatever. The person who wrote the note could barely string together two sentences in English... so we'll see what actually happens.

I've learned a lot from this experience.

    1. There is no quick way to get traffic. (Even though my site has been up and active since 2001, and draws over 1000 unique/day)
    2. Anyone that claims they can send you targeted traffic is lying
    3. Sometimes you max out the profitability of a site when in a niche market.

Thanks for all the comments folks! I hope others can learn before making my same mistakes.

I've personally reviewed quite a few, but couldn't go with the rest, as they appeared... To say the least, very unfriendly.

I have a very new website, almost 6 1/2 months old.
While i found most of the traffic wholesale and redirected visitors to be quite worthless, i did notice something !

On an average (that is of lately) i would receive the following monthly
    30s - 2m = 42 visits per month
    2m - 5m = 30 visits per month
    5m - 15m= 34 visits per month
    30m-1h = 8 visits per month
    1h+ = 10 visits per month

If we were to exclude the 30s-2m and 1h+ (which we should exclude), we'd be left with 98 visitors (direct bookmarks + search engines)

With Redirected Traffic, i received the following monthly
    30s - 2m = 163 visits per month
    2m - 5m = 62 visits per month
    5m - 15m= 84 visits per month
    30m-1h = 132 visits per month
    1h+ = 49 visits per month
That would be 602 visits, compared to 98
When we subtract, we've left with 452 visits
If we subtract 3s-2m and 1h+ (which we should), we're left with 368 visits
For the sake of being fair, lets assume that a bare minimum of 70% were unique visitors, while 30% return visits
We're left with 257 unique visitors. Lets say each costs you 35 cents, amounting to $77.10. Alright, lets say you somehow get 10 cents per click, and it ends up costing you $25.70.
I'd still end up paying about $21 canadian for the same amount of visitors.

    I've personally tried:
revisitors.com (too expensive, + there appear to be too many look-alikes at 120%)
visitorboost.com, good price, and have been the most honest, compared to the rest (i still use them, happily)
1stmarketingresources.com, hmm, i got only 32% of what i paid for (don't bother with them)
advertyz.com... they seemed nice, replied quickly, and strangely enough, delivered instantly ! (keep away from them)
trafficmother.com, is the Plague - they rip people off massively, have around 100 parked domains + clones of their website
trafficspecials.com, appears slow... it takes them 30 days to deliver, but i got only about 700 in 15 days, out of 5000... so, please avoid them !

If you'd like to read a more detailed review of the above + others that i rejected based on their TOS, http://www.whyislamisthetruth.com/Redirected_Visitors_Review.html

the problem is internet advertising isnt cheap.
its actually more costly then paper or tv advertising and will give you much less result.

    Lets analyse this

GOOGLE YAHOO MSN controling the major internet searchers.

Google adbrite also controlling the major content network (unless porn)

And to buy advertising from them you got throw your bank to them.

Most surfers(internet visitors) just view a site read it for second and close it.

90% of your paid traffic is just checking your site. They are not there to take any action (click or signup or purchase)

So say you purchase 10000 visitors from google yahoo msn adbrite etc. You are actually purchasing 10% visitor of 10000. Thats 1000 visitor.

Now the question of conversion. out of those 1000 visitors. You will get lucky if you have even 1% conversion signup or sales. And chances are they are not going to return to your site and forget about it as so many new or similer site to check now days.

So you can see 10000 visitors even you purchase. you are actually looking for 10 visitors who are interested in what you advertised.

ADvertising cost is huge online. And the results are not gonna satisfy you

Unless you have something exclusive that no one else is offering.

Now coming to the question of smaller advertising networks adengage adtoll and such. Or say pop under and such kind. What can you expect from them. They are stuggling to survive. And what they have banned from adsense publishers or publishers who have such traffic that is only suitable to hit and go. Much like Stumbleupon traffic

I bought a traffic website from cgidomains to test if the traffic really came and have to say that it was a complete waste of time. I bought warehouse price traffic from cgidomains for 50,000 visitors in 1 month (If I remember correctly).

I expected the traffic to arrive but to test if it was legit I set up a hover box opt in which was giving free webmaster software to anyone that opted in.... I got around 30,000 visitors but not a single person opted in for the mailing list.

Needless to say I've washed my hands of the site after I sent an email to cgidomains and asked them to explain to me, in detail, where the traffic came from as I question the legitimacy of it... I never heard back from them.

In my opinion I would tell everyone to stay away from these traffic buying sites, the offer looks spectacular but trust me on this one, don't waste your cash on it.
