Wordpress theme in progress - how's it look?

I've been working on this design for a few hours now (the tree took me a while) and I'm wondering if it's worth continuing. I still have to do the footer and some polishing but how's it looking so far? I'm still thinking about adding leafs somewhere in there but so far, I haven't been able to make it work.

Anything you like/dislike? This will be a free theme for Wordpress once completed, to be released on my site.

I think it's very nice overall. The tree is cute! One comment though, the tilted orange text on the right top makes the template difficult to customize, since the user will need to figure out how to edit it to their needs.

 

They don't need to edit that text i'm guessing. WP will do it when you add pages.

Theme looks good though steelfrog... I like it

Has it all been made in Photoshop?

 

Thanks for your feedback! You might be right on that one. However, the free version will have a blank image where the title usually sits so the user can simply drop one in. I'll also be offering a customized version where I'll edit the titles and everything else for a small fee so that should be good.

To answer the next post, yes, it was all made in Photoshop except the tree was done in Corel with a Wacom.

 

Very nice theme! The top looks pretty cool, but maybe you could do something cool to the footer as well.

 

i dig the top.. but less how the actual content sits below. seems to me that the categories and the right bar could start higher, no?

 

Very neat header, I love the graphics and color scheme used on this theme. Keep up the good work!

 

Im not sure I dig the tree but I really like the colors!

 

I'm still working on this. Progress has been slow, but here's an update. I'm still not sure what to do with the side menu and navigation.

Very nice design. If you have time try fleshing out a background to make optional with the theme. A background might add that extra... something.

 

Definitely the most amazing theme I have actually ever seen. It looks perfect already adding anything would be to much in my opinion.

 

I like it, although i can see some issues when it comes to making it widget ready, if you plan to do that.

I like the second one the best the light blue on the first looks a little out of place.

I like the way you did the layers on the top it looks complex but still blends in well.

 

I'll keep those suggestions in mind. Thanks guys! Here's an update. I worked a bit on the sidebar menus and swapped the background color so that it blends in better. There's still a lot of work to be done, but it's slowly getting there.

Coding this thing will be a pain though.

i don't like the gradient in the third one. Sidebar is waaaay better in the second one.

 

I like the first and second ones, the third is to brown.
