Many online internet entrepreneurs will tell you that an opt in email list is one of the most valuable assets you can have online. The best way of developing a list is to have an autoresponder that can allow you to create opt in forms so your prospects can join your email list by their own accord (and legally).

Services like aweber and get response tend to be the two most popular services for autoresponders, but scores others do exist if you wish to do your due diligence. If you're not sure how to create opt in forms (etc) I have a series of videos that I can show you for aweber, anyone that needs it can just PM me.

Is not exactly software but scripts, however if you need email marketing, I would suggest sign in with a specialized service since is not at all your knowledge creating forms or installing software the inconvenient, but most shared hosting services prevent users from send large amount of emails and limit to "x" number of messages delivered every hour.

Software I'm using right now is called PHPlist and it's totally free.

It does everything for you and I've found it to be a great alternative to services like aweber and getresponse.

    Good luck

I've tried alot of free mailing list scripts, but oem pro and autoresponder plus 3 beat them all by a long shot for self hoste autoresponders.
Ther's just so much analytics, which you really do need for a successful campaign.
