Hi, i am creating a website but i dont really know what cms should i use for this kind of site and how i can make it fit in this kind of website. Please help. Cms should be free
Do you have any idea what you'll be wanting to do with the website? if you're just going to make simple posts with replies/comments, Wordpress is great.. it's easy to setup and use. But if you think you might want to expand at some point with things like user-signups, forums, paid/premium areas, blogs for members, members creating content, blah, blah - you might want to try something more powerful like Drupal ..
What CMS you need depends on your own preference and how comfortable you are maintaining them. I suggest taking a look at http://www.opensourcecms.com/ . One advantage of this web site is that they setup demos of all those CMS for you to try. It is better for you to try, get a feel of the CMS and decide what is best for you.
Depends entirely upon the type of website you have. Joomla is generally the preferred CMS around here as its an all rounder.
I can build you a website for free, according to your specs if you want, I can do it in Joomla (free CMS) which I'm really good at. If you're interested, send me a PM and we can talk. cheers!
If you want a website, joomla is the best option. Not because it is the BEST but because it has the largest community and the most add on options. If you want a blog, Wordpress is your best option. Please note that blogs work very different than regular website CMS systems. While a blog is also classified as a CMS the structure is different. The best solution is to have a website & a blog that is related to the website!
wordpress of blogs and simple static type of sites and joomla for medium sites with low budget and finally drupal for medium to large site + decent budget.
Also, when you have a small budget, it is best to choose a popular CMS, because there are more user and you have better chances to get support. WordPress, Joomla and Drupal are some popular options.
What are you going to do with the web site? If you want a good answer then you need to provide more info. This is like asking a dealership "What vehicle should I get?". He is going to say fully loaded Yukon. My little experience with Joomla and Wordpress is that Joomla seams to more power than Wordpress but Wordpress is a lot easier when dealing with static pages such as a contact us page.
Previous suggestions are all great.. We've used All Headline News Mini-Publisher. Its free but you just have to ask them for it.
A generic answer, Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress, not necessarily in that order. A considered response, I've got no idea as no information has been provided.
