I don't think there is an average it depends on your niche. Direct marketing companies say that an average return is 5%, so on that count your still a way off. However i think it is much harder on an internet site. Mines about 8% on a certain site i own and .01% on another.
If you can get a CTR of 5%, that is really good. Anything above 2% is ok. You can improve your CTR by optimizing your ads placements.
depends on your niche and ad placement. certain niche will have 1% CTR (proxy sites for example) and a good content based site might get as much as 20% or 30% CTR
CTR on one click for one of my sites says 100% but the average is from 1.19% to 5.56% and one at 13.33% so not bad. Regards
I would say 3-5% is good. If you are achieving above 5% then you are doing something right. Anything under 3% I wound consider changing the ad placement.
If your happy with that CTR then yes I would say its good. If your not happy with it then no I wouldnt say its good.
Avinash Kaushik said the average CTR for normal people is 1-2%. He's a SEO expert. There are videos on youtube.com, under Google channel.
