Review my Teen Site

Hey guys I launched this site for teens about 2 weeks ago and its taking off fairly well but I want opinions. It basically features a music video countdown, a teen/young adult forum, and some naruto episodes to watch. Looking for constructive reviews

Not too bad but in my opinion you still have a lot of work to do. One of the first things I can mention is I think your page would look a lot better if it were in more tables. I didn't look at your code to see exactly what you did though. The background images on your naruto page made it hard to see the episodes, and the background of your home page wasn't much better. If you had your text listed in tables you could change the color of the table around the text to make it more visible.

I see your link exchanging with web directories.
I am looking to link exchange, I am working on a complete overhaul of my site but you can check it out.

I think the website design is awful (Chosen colors and background images).
Maybe you could use a cms like wordpress and get better results by modding the original template.

You should remove the background image and get a professional template for the site.

 

I agree with diwee, and kingofsanda. The design is awful. I can't imagine many young, modern kids/teens wanting to spend much time on that website.

 

I love the idea.

In addition try adding a joke section and a games section.

To be frank with you, the design is unprofessional. The color combination is awful. Even you have not scale home page teen image properly.

 

Wow. Many people have no reservations in their comments -- a community of straight shooters. It is a good first start, but many of the comments here are correct, in that you would be better served using a CMS (joomla, Mambo, ezPublish, Wordpress) and then applying a template. The site as it is now, looks like the old websites pre CMS and template days (e.g. the early 90s). If you are already getting traffic that is good... but you will need to keep that traffic by expanding the content and features of the site.... that will be difficult with your current layout and site structure.

 

M8 you have a lot work to do.

You need to go for only some colours, you have a lot of different colours, and is not easy to read.
IF you don't have much experience i suggest you install a wordpress its easy you must need a mwsql database.

OK thanks ppl who replied so far. Yes it is amateur designed(me). I did some research and I think I'll go with Joomla in the long run. In the meantime however Ill change the background later and work on the tables.

 

Keep your chin up. You have a good idea and a great niche market.

 

The very first thing I would do is get a solid design in there.

 

couldnt agree more man the colors are over the top

 

Look for free css templates in google, that will be much better than this one.
