Hi, I am quite a noobie in the field of IM. I wanted some help in the field. Can you suggest a few places where I can find help to kick start my internet marketing business!

There are some great sites that will help you get your thoughts in order. I have no affiliation with these sites but I read them regularly

and there are a lot more. Read these a little and decide on what it is that you want to do with your IM and then you will have a more focused approach to making money.

 

Good just to start googling around - learn the basic terminology. Start with something small of your own a small content site or blog -- GET YOUR OWN DOMAIN - going with something hosted on blogger et al is a waste of your time to learn the real issues involved. Get an adsense and and adwords account and start playing with them. Sign up for an affiliate marketing network such as Commission Junction. Create a MySpace profile to promote your site (or Facebook or LinkedIn)... and start some social network promoting. If you feel ambitious create a viral video - or at least learn how to add other people's videos to your blog.

Do all of the above just to build familiarity with what is going on. You'll have a much better idea at the end of it what is going on out there.

Best thing is to build a site around something that you're passionate about and then learn internet marketing skills to monetize it. This way you won't give up before you start making money if you're in a field that you enjoy.
