well here are lot's of way to get penalize here is some important factors

    (1) Keyword stuffing
It can happened if you are using same keyword again and again it will increase your keyword density but it is harmful for you website

    (2) Hidden or invisible
If you are using same color of your keyword as your background then no one can see your keywords and some are using hug keywords with same color.

    (3) Meta tag stuffing
Repeating keywords in the Meta tags, and using meta keywords that are unrelated to the site's content. This tactic has been ineffective since 2005.

    (4) Gateway or doorway pages
Creating low-quality web pages that contain very little content but are stead stuffed with very similar keywords and phrases

    (5) Scraper sites
It means that your are creating sites for only adsens. these typs of sites are full of advertisement and redirect to user for other site

    (6) Link farms
These techniques also aim at influencing other link-based ranking techniques such as the HITS algorithm.

    (7) Sybil attack
Spammers make different sites with different domain names such that they all are interlinked with each other like fake blogs or spam blogs

    (8) Spam blogs
Most of the blogs are created for giving links and copied content from other sites and they slowly going in spamming and they are similar to link farming

    (9) Page hijacking
it is done by making a duplicate copy of some renowned website that shows the crawler the same contents as of original website but actually redirects the real users to some distinct websites.

    (10) Buying expired domains
Some of these techniques may be applied for creating a Google bomb,

    (11) Comment spam
So many people when they are doing commenting on another blog they try to add as much as possible anchor tag and it is also consider as a spamming

    (12) Wiki spam
by making use of wiki's ability of redirecting links from wiki to some other spammy sites

    (13) Mirror websites
Sites with the same content but different urls are hosted. Search engines give priority to sites while ranking where keywords appear in their urls.

    (14) URL redirection
Taking user to other sites without his permission using java script, meta refresh etc.

    (15) Cloaking
Cloaking is used to provide that content to users that search engines are unable to process.

There are many reasons for a site to get spammed or banned by a search engine. Duplicate content in the sites can result in spam. Using too many keywords in the site content and making many submissions in one day can also result in spam. Performing black hat seo techniques can bring immediate traffic but it also leads to the site getting banned. The search engines also keep a tab on the sites that are getting huge traffic within a short time.

Google obtains links from the various websites and then determines whether or not they are important. Since good webmasters often do “bad” things to get links (mass submissions to directories, blog comments, guestbook postings), Google can’t completely ignore them. more ways to Site banned.

Always check the Quality Guidelines by Google before making your site -
    "Quality guidelines

These quality guidelines cover the most common forms of deceptive or manipulative behavior, but Google may respond negatively to other misleading practices not listed here (e.g. tricking users by registering misspellings of well-known websites). It's not safe to assume that just because a specific deceptive technique isn't included on this page, Google approves of it. Webmasters who spend their energies upholding the spirit of the basic principles will provide a much better user experience and subsequently enjoy better ranking than those who spend their time looking for loopholes they can exploit.

If you believe that another site is abusing Google's quality guidelines, please report that site at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport. Google prefers developing scalable and automated solutions to problems, so we attempt to minimize hand-to-hand spam fighting. The spam reports we receive are used to create scalable algorithms that recognize and block future spam attempts.

A google bomb is an internet terminology that is done intentionally to influence a site’s ranking in google search (SERPs). According to google algorithm, a page with the sites linking to it having same keywords in anchor text is ranked higher. A google bomb is thus created if many such pages are created. It is related to misusing HTML pages by modifying them in such a way that they have a good chance of being placed at the beginning of SERPs.

Google also penalize those sites which are dealing lot with paid links.
    • Don't send automated queries to Google.
    • Don't load pages with irrelevant words.

    Hi Aryans

With the sentence "many submissions in one day", I meant bulk submissions or excessive linking.

If you are doing submission by software on your new site then it can harmful for your website but if you are doing manually on your old site then i don't think there were any problem
