    im working on a project. Basically its an online telephone directory.Similiar to this: http://phonebook.yellowpages.co.za/

    Im not much of a programmer and i was wondering what would i need(software ....etc) to build a similiar site? :confused:

    If you not much of a programmer, you can hire a freelancer to work for (with) you. And the most important you need data for your site also.
    for software, it depends on the platform you choose, you can use php/mysql or asp.net

    Otherwise you can search an open source repository such as www.sourceforge.net

    I have seen at least three PHP phonebook scripts and a couple of them written in ASP.

    Use the search function and filter option in there, if needed, to find them out.
