That's exactly right, thanks Fishkinz, reputation added. Please let us know if anyone has any additional questions. Thank You, Jay
Hi, Definitely - it works a treat. You can ask anyone with a VPS with us what the speed's like (I hope the won't mind) Thanks, Jay
I think 256MB is OKAY for cPanel. Although, to do an apache update it likes to have a minimum of 512MB otherwise you get warnings about it crashing and all that junk.. I think cPanel would still run OKAY, especially now that cPanel have launched the new VPS optimized version
Can you confim your sources of information for that? You can set memory limits in cPanel, and personally I've recompiled at Apache at least once per VPS, with no memory allocation problems (using both the GUI and /scripts/easyapache CLI versions). In fact, I even remember compiling on 128MB Ram before the VPS Optimized version even came out It just takes longer ... Jay
It's just happened on a few VPS's on some of my servers, and I didn't mean that it couldn't because by all means, it can, it just likes more And wooh... recompiling with 128 and no vps optimized... nice... lol
What process doesn't like more Ram You have to also understand that with the technology we use, the Ram is allocated into the hosts Ram at boot time, so is truely "Dedicated", which isn't the case of OpenVZ Jay
Just ordered some reseller hosting from mycohost.net, and I cannot believe the service I received for only $4 a month. I haven't expected this service to last, because the price is so cheap, I just needed a quickie host.So far I've been hosting for more than a month, and have received excellent support, assisting me in my web scripts and DNS entries to make everything work. The servers are great, and are rarely on high load, A+ quality for the price. I guess I may stay on this for more than a while Thanks Jay.
