$100.00 for a Year of Google Adsense

Can I do better with Yahoo? I'd like to make enough every month to at least take my family out for a veggie burger at Ruby Tuesdays.

 

That's pretty much impossible to say, it depends on how your site is structured and how your ads are placed.

It's not Adsense, or YPN. It's your site.

It's visually uninteresting. And the content is not original or compelling. Sorry, but that's the truth. And more ads doesn't make for more money.

Just a little tip, from ages back when I earnt a living from adsense.

Integrate your google ads into a menu. At the moment they are grey, and they look like ads. People don't click on ads, generally, unless its something mega interesting to them.

Move them into your menu. Change the colour to match your menu. And change the appearance so they look like your menu items.

People *will* click on them

Everyone Try this....Close your eyes, keep them closed and then design a website and after countless hours of work on it go into a forum and ask for a review.

you may want to fix that.

 

That is quite impressive since you are blind but Yahoo usually never pays as much as Google. You are asking for help and you've recieved constructive criticism. Don't take it personally but there are people here trying to help. I understand you are blind but your readers are not...keep that in mind.

 

u can do better with adsense coz there is no one like adsense. but if u will add new content and optimize ur ads according to the policy.

Try color changing, ad position, ad format. And focus on traffic. I am sure 100$ per year is just due to lack of traffic.

 

Well i would recommend you google better than yahoo. But 100 USD for a year? Something is wrong there, your ads will not be showed up to much, or clicked, or something is wrong. You blind? Wow nice, miracle of god, you put your fingers in the screen to read our comments. Miracle of God

 

i make more than 100$ from google in around 2 months doing nothing.

 

Your website PR is 5, you can make MUCH MORE by selling links for other websites.

 

Mate i think its fantastic that you done this and have a disadvantage to rest of us, ive seen alot worse from people that are very able ( one being myself lol )

If everyone put in a little dedication to get something done you believe in then being a webmaster would be a better place

Anyways back on subject, the basic nature of the site isnt the issue i dont think, has anyone actually bothered to ask what kind of traffic the site gets ? ive seen some of the most basic html pages kick the shit out of modern web 2.0 (so to speak) designs when i comes to adsense.....

if your site is only getting 100 uniques a day or less it will be hard to get clicks and if its not a profitable niche its even harder. Work on your seo, on site and off site and get some natural traffic and alot of it, if you cant do that then work on marketing your site to get traffic through advertising exchanges and social bookmarking , try Facebook and myspace for a bit of viral too

I would say just make your ads blend it with the page and see if that helps

I use screen readers like JAWS to read text online. Unfortunately I cannot simply skim over text likes the sighted so I must listen to stupid peoples comment as well as those who are being genuine in their help. Thanks to all of you who have offered positive suggestions and constructive criticism.

For pictures & placement I have to ask friends.

 

I like your site. I think you are likely to make more from Google than Yahoo`s publishing.

The only thing is maybe your ads need to blend in by keeping your background white, rather than with a green background, although I understand the green connection.

It`s just that some visitors don`t like ads to be too obvious, so blending in can help get more clicks.
