Do u actually pay for the softwares like Photoshop etc?

i saw in This thread that many people buy Photoshop

Do you guys pay for it too? or just use warez?

 

I didn't pay for it, but if I had the money to buy it, I would to support the developers.

 

I don't think so that in India most of us can afford real price of this software packs . In india we can get such software from pc repair shops for just rs 100 only which is equal to $2.5 .

 

I buy all my software. Pirated copies are straight out theft, and ultimately hurt the entire market making it harder and harder to get new software for a reasonable price. Every bit of software that doesn't get paid for drives the price on each legitimate copy up. It may only raise the cost a tiny bit, but with enough copies stolen the price increase is quite noticable.

 

Ive used both pirated (got a friends disc and key) and purchased and I definitely prefer using purchased.

Especially if you're using it to make money, I think it should definitely be paid for.

 

I have been using pirated version for a quite long time, but this is the third month already when I'm using licensed version

I don't think software like photoshop in india will go down that LOW.

In my case I am from philippines but most of my softwares where bought from the company I work with.

Some are ShareWares and other are open source.

 

No. I wont buy it, i'll just download it over torrent network

 

I do pay for softwares but prefer to use some open source as well. I pay for Photoshop

No i never...... I always download these softwares from filehippo or warez.

 

I buy, may be able to do that in India but with the current uk and us economic problems the taxman and the auditors are all cracking down on businesses great and small, if you are not upto par with your legality now would be a good time to start on it!

 

If you're using it to make a living then buy it.

 

I am just starting to learn it so I use whatever is free but when I learn more I will buy the original software.

 

You won't believe but it costs $0.40 here . I am from Pakistan and thats the price in our area.

 

As micheal said, if you're going to live off what you make from the software, then you should definitely buy it.

 

you should definitely buy it, especially if thats what you are making your money from after all it doesn't cost that much!

 

i m also buying the original copies its really hard to buy . but still i m buying original copies.

i know people are really doing lot of hard work to create their softwares

 

Now all people said you use pirated software be ready for the police come kicking in your door and closing down your websites Open Source and then smack them with some adword like google i do not know why Windows just stop dealing with search and put in adverts in the software and give it away.

 

our designer bought it, but then got a trial and cracked and gave it to us
