    I'm about to launch a website to promote editorial services and I'm wondering if any of you knows about any PHP or ASP script to run an electronic magazine.

    Um, WordPress?

    Not sure what exactly you want, but you can do anything with it pretty much. Just need to create, buy or find the theme that does what you want.

    True, WordPress can be suitable for such purpose with the right theme.

    Oh my, I always forget that it's more than just simple blogging software, but a powerful CMS.

    Thanks for the idea, now going to find my theme.

    Yeah, it's pretty good. A couple years ago (I think), I custom coded a theme after the NY Times site.

    And then I got bored and dumped it somewhere. :)

    Anyway, there are some magazine themes out there if you feel like spending some money.

    Oh, I would really like to see your custom theme.

    Certainly I'm gonna take some time to find the best and most suitable among those magazine-realted themes because I want something out of the box to develop this project.

    I'm not sure what happened to it. Think it went in a site folder and got archived somewhere on a backup drive.

    There are some nice mag themes out there though. No point in reinventing the wheel.

    You will also find a fabulous collection of premium and free wordpress and other themes at http://www.smashingmagazine.com/
    At the same time do have a look in to the "Buy Sell and Trade"-freebies section on DP.
    A little exploration here would certainly be beneficial. I have seen some really fantastic free WP themes.
