Why would he bother to write a book if he is doing so well? Once the major secrets become mainstream they have lost most of their effectiveness.

The book will tell you how to use Adwords (which google are pretty good at doing) and then tell you to pick low cost keywords with no competition and high returns.

I do not agree with your assumption. GoogleCash came out - have you read it? And many many people have made very good money from that business model.

This can't be said about every book. Sometimes you can't believe what people say because they just want your money.

    But oh look...!

true...not all books are good, some are just made to sound good in order to get money from you...and besides it's useless if you read the book and don't do anything. Doing the stuff is what will meke you rich, not reading about it !Ans there are a lot of good forums around that will give you all the answers if you look good enough. Like DP :)

Books are fine. Most ebooks are just restatements of stuff you can learn for free on these forums, packaged for sale. Anything advertised with one of those cookie cutter sales pitch pages (14px font, big red headers, checkmarks by the lists, lots of capital letters, etc) just SCREAMS ripoff.

If you can learn from a forum then you can learn from a book. Those types of sales pages suggest a smart marketer because they have proven to convert well. I agree not all books are good and that is why I wanted a review by someone who has read it.

I think there are a lot of better free resources than this book and honestly I don't belive too much in a "make money without doing nothing" schema :)

Anyway if you use it at its best and try to find affiliate programs with very good convertion rate you could surely get some money from it !

    Oh ... I agree with www.seobook.com as a great resource !

one thing that might work for some site might not work for other. its all about experiements. so my suggestion would be to follow forum like dp which have LOTS of useful info and try what works for u and what not. book are good for travel reading. seo stuff keeps changing so even if the book is good at its printing time it soon would go out unless its high level mambo jambo like business and spirituality and stuff.
stick with dp and u would do good.

There seems to be lots of contradiction in this thread. Someone says you cannot learn stuff from an ebook but then recommend SEO Book. Another says no one will give you any ideas that really work. If that is so, the poster in the message before who says just read DP is not good advice since no one will give you any ideas that work. And calling it plain rubbish without reading it is being prejudiced.

I do agree with you guys on one thing though. DP rocks. It lets you put links in threads unlike WMW. That's one reason why I think DP has taken off in a big way. Anything goes within reason.
