    Canada Fly In Fishing Review

    I am open to suggestions.

I would like to figure out some more angles on monetization.

I've thought about letting fishing outfitters advertise but that might be taboo on a review site.

I get a decent AdSense ctr but not a heaping bunch of traffic.

I also get decent Google rankings on terms I didn't target but can't really take down the main term I wanted to target.

    Still need some more back-links.

I just got the forum running yesterday and need to get some AdSense ads in there as well.

I need to get some people to post in my forums too.

All friendly suggestions are welcome. I can handle blunt criticism also so don't pussyfoot with me.

    Peace,

    Herman

ok here is my take on your site.you need to work on the design of your website from to to bottom, change the font make it a bit bigger.change the header get a footer.get some more pictures and put some colours on it.you can get someone on DP to do it for you for a good price,if you want to make money from it then it needs to look otherwise people wont take it seriously. You have a lot of potential to make money with your site.dont worry so much about adsense. You can go into the affiliate game with reviews of fly fishing equipment.you review different products give then a honest opinion then you put your affiliate link there where they can buy it and earn commision. You can also review the different camp places and pilots or airlines that fly people to the location where they can go fish and organize with them (caping sites, cabin places, airlines, pilots) that you earn a commision from the people that you refer to them.I mean with all the camping and fishing equiptment and all the flight sales you could earn quite a nice sum.I hope you found my advice helpful and if you decide to use it then i would love to see your site again in about 6 months time

if you don't want to sit on inventory you could always build out a section of the site for a BANS store and keep paid of fly fishing inventory from ebay

    Thanks for the input guys.

The reason I like to use small text on my sites is because it matches the google adsense text. I get way higher ctr using this method.

I plan on reviewing or letting others review the camp places etc. Was thinking about asking the outfitters if they would like to advertise on my site. But it would be tough to let outfitters give their own rating and expect it to be non biased.

There is plenty of room on the left for affiliate banners but I don't usually do well with that.

I like the idea about reviewing equipment big time I might actually start making some commissions through affiliates like that.

I am still trying to figure out how to add links to my vbulletin. Vbulletin is all new to me and I think a cool fishing skin would great but I don't know how to do it.

I agree that a better logo would help, I'm definitely not great with graphics.

I guess you didn't like my banner bobzz?

Please keep the reviews coming in, I really want to make this site work.

Thanks databloc, can I ask which browser you are using?

I just checked the site out on my sons pc and he has a huge monitor. Everything seemed ok.

    I was using firefox though.

    Thanks again

You are right seo007 I didn't work on my keywords. Are there any other meta tags I forgot to add?

I have been working on back-links so hard I'm dizzy from it lol . I still need lots more but I am in one of my foggy times and could use any suggestions as to where to score some good ones.

I have written a few articles 1 went to ezines.com and the others at articlesbase.com.

I got some back-links from a number of forums also. I exchanged a bunch of links for what that was worth?

I wrote a press release and made the front page of our local county newspaper.

I need to get Google to pick it up though. I tried a couple of those free PR submission sites but don't think they actually submit it anywhere.

Are there any good free PR submission sites that are worth my time?

If not which gives the most bang for the buck.

Any suggestions as to how to bring the fly in outfitters into the picture would also be great.

    Thanks a million,

    Herman
