How to get Members to Movie forum?

hello, i run a movie forum it has been up for around 1 month and we only have around 100 members which is pretty bad

i need some help on how to get more members to join the forum. can anyone help me?

Link exchange? you mean like other movie forums? but i dont know any other movie forums that are willing to link exchange. link exchange is when you put a link on your forum and they put a link on there forum right?

 

100 members for a 1 month old forum is not bad IMO

 

There are automated programs that create plenty of fake users
to make it look your site has lot of visitors and members

 

lol, i dont really want fake users though. i want to get active member

 

You can post on different related forums with your website link in your signature. This would attract related traffic to your website. You can start sharing files online which are password protected and the password would be your websites name. This strategy works like wonders in the warez world.

 

100 in a month is not bad I think. First few months is toughest to get new members, after that it gets better. Just keep doing what you been doing, soon you would see numbers go up. One thing I do sometimes is I take a break looking at numbers

Not bad, you have a lot of competition, there are so many other active warez forums.

 

Can be it called warez site?

Their just providing urls to the actual site where you can watch / download video. Their not hosting any on their server.

Anyhow, you can advertise on other movie sites/forums, ask for ad spot or link exchange. Do you have some money? Because you'll need some to promote it. Also about how starting a contest on your forum, who ever can refers the most members at end of month gets "$100 and some other crap". That's what I will be doing at my forum (in signature) and hope it converts out to be successful.

However, it will be on my adult warez forum. I get around 40,000 unique visits a month with over 2,500,000 hits.

I only do button links not text links so you will need to have designed a button. If your interested PM me.

 

there are so many movie sites, you need something unique

perhaps show up to a few premiers get a few signitures on the posters and offer them up as competition prizes - you can then submit the competition to all those freebie and comp sites

i like the idea of the premier but i dont think there will be many premiers of movies where i live

i got about $80 in my paypal at the moment but i dont wnt to use it all for the promoting i would use a bit or it though
