I ve not read all the replies however firstly great post, and secondly just to add one in their something i do weekly is blog carnivals. Add your best quality and most relevant article or tutorial to blog carnivals to see some good traffic results.

P.S You should submit your website to search engines once and once only, some websites shouldn't even feel the need to do it the once, because pages will be indexed more or less straight away.

I agree.. Blog carnivals are good and one of my friends who is doing a lot of srticles in blog carnivals has good traffic... But for me, I always consider quality traffic and I cannopt find it personally from Blog carnivals..

Trafficswarm is not really a big player but its useful anyhow...

It is amazing to me how many people are shocked when someone takes the time to sit down and list all the work they do to build their Internet business.

It always comes down to traffic and hard work! You can either buy your traffic or create free or nearly free methods to get it. The benefit of doing the things in your list is it creates a long term effect that builds up back links over a period of time.

When you purchase traffic your traffick quits the minute you stop buying it. I know from personal experience now having thousands of back links and being on page 1 of Google for hundreds of various keywords that the things you talk about doing are right on the money.

I have always done very well personally with forum marketing, article marketing, blogging, and social bookmarking.

 

Nice share and Trafficswarm I have used nearly for a year and I like it.

It does not matter if traffic convert - they see a site and thats a credit too.

I do forum and blog postings everyday. I also maintain my lenses on squidoo and hubs.Plus a bit sideways on directory submission..those that offers no reciprocal...although it took a long time to see results...lol
