Hi everyone I am pretty new to this game and would really appreciate some opinions please. I have my own website which sells health and beauty products and much more. Would you normally purchase these types of products over the internet? Take a look at my website and let me know your feedback, either way its all useful. Thanks. http://www.healthshop4less.co.uk
I wouldn't buy health and beauty products on the internet but there are enough lazy people in the world who does. Your site is a little bit annoying me with all those ads and is it a ban-site? Gr. Ruperz
You are selling beauty and health products but I also see some ipod and wii ads. this will confuse a custemor. try to focus on some speciffic products, I get scared away with all that product stuffing. But a good niche I guess. My girlfriend just bought some beauty stuff online, so there is a market
The black fonts on red background are hard to read... I suggest you make it more readable. Aside from that it's up to you to test what works and what doesn't.
I see potential in the site but for reference I would look at some of the online bigger drug stores and get ideas on how to improve the layout and design of your website. In my opinion the products by type buttons serve no purpose and kind of distract from the page iteself. Good Luck, Mike
I buy beauty products on the web, sure. Can your site compete in the SERPS with Sephora.com, Drugstore.com, Ebay or Amazon for a listing? You're going to need a massive amount of links.
Well, I do buy cosmetics and toiletries ove rthe web - in fact I get stuff from Direct Cosmetics, which you're sending people on to. Your site just doesn't look classy, and doesn't offer anything in the way of articles or reviews to make me look at it, rather than going directly to Direct Cosmetics. And as others have said, all those ads, and wiis and ipods - it's too much. if you want to send people to buy cosmetics, talk the products up, write reviews, put some cosmetic tip articles on the site - go a bit soft sell.
I sometimes buy health/beauty products on the net.. especially healthy food and cosmetics... There is a huge market for them. Regarding your website, I would recommend focusing on health/beauty, not to cover many different things as computers and electronics etc. Also the strong red background is somewhat hard on the eye. Using softer colours would be better. The healthy pink banner is fine. Keep it up. Edit: The page layout looks strange on browsers like Firefox. You may want to check the source...
My company has designed this type of site before for clients. Your site looks reasonably clean, but you're missing out in some ways - the health & beauty niche is a monster, but (unless I didn't have a good enough look) I did not see any (a) blog or (b) newsletter. Incporporating these 2 things in your site will enable you to write articles about the health & beauty niche, with the aim of promoting specific products.
