    Hey guys,

I just was testing something for my site and it seems the ad company I was working with allows you to download a great virus/malware and now I have some stupid message on my desktop saying:

Warning! Spyware Detected On Your Computer!
Install An AntiVirus Or Spyware Remover On Your Computer!

Now it also installed a virus scanner thing, it wanted me to buy it so that was the offer in the virus/malware. I managed to get rid of that, but I cannot change my desktop nor can I change the picture. Can some please lend a hand, I have been trying to get rid of the damn thing but I can't.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Did you try some antispyware to stop it ?
or just remove the regedit entries.

I cleared my cache on all browsers, deleted files and I have been running a scan which is about to finish which looks like it will solve the problem.

    GREAT NEWS - I FIXED IT :)

If it is "Antivirus XP 2008", then my friend also got infected with the same virus. He was unable to change the desktop background n all. You just 'google' the problem.. Amiworks and another site will help you out
