    This get asked several times a day and the answer never changes.
    PageRank is dependent on backlinks and backlinks only.
    The point is - why do you want to increase your PageRank?
    It's one of the ingredients to get a good result in serps, but only a part of the equation

    It is not about the actual number of backlinks you get, it is about the quality of the sites your backlink is on. Get 10,000 links from a PR1 or PR2 and you will probably see a PR2. Get a few hundred from PR4-6 and you will be around a PR4 maybe even a 5.

    SEMSpot is right you should be consistently building backlinks and your pr
    will improve over time but you should not try to manipulate it.

    The key to increase PR is the quality backlink.
    Try to get as many qaulity backlink as you can, then your PR will increase

    I know for one expired domain name that have more than 9.000 backlinks, but PR is 0. That domain is next: http://www.sc-lista.com

    Also there is a website address (it is not expired website address) that have only 15. backlinks, and it is PR6! That web site address is: http://www.taac.ca

    I see you have got some nice content with good and catchy topics in your website. Your just have to maintain it and also submit some related articles to some high PR article directories and this will work wonders for your PR and nice genuine traffic. Otherwise, I see no problem for your site to be on top.
